Fun Mirror for iOS
Privacy policy
Understand how face effects work, what stays on your device, and how to stop processing or delete your photos.

About this policy
This policy explains how the Fun Mirror (哈哈镜) iOS app handles photos, face information, purchases, your language preference and privacy enquiries. Apple Photos, iCloud, the App Store and your email service have their own privacy policies for the services they provide.
Your photos stay on your device
The app obtains camera frames when you allow Camera access and open the camera, or a photo when you select it in the system photo picker. These images are processed on your device for previews and effects. Fun Mirror does not upload them to a developer server or maintain a separate photo archive. The system photo picker may provide an iOS-managed temporary image file, which the app reads for editing; iOS manages that file's lifetime and cleanup, and the app does not promise a separate deletion deadline for it. Photos you choose to save and any iCloud syncing are explained below.
The app does not require registration, include advertising or analytics SDKs, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. On-device access to and processing of a photo or face information does not mean that the developer receives that information.
Face effects, without identity recognition
For face effects, Apple Vision analyzes the current camera frame or selected photo locally on your device. The information processed is the image itself, detected face rectangles describing face position and size, and detection confidence scores. Low-confidence detections are discarded, and only the largest qualifying face rectangle is used to place the effect.
The app does not use facial landmarks or depth maps. It does not create identity templates or biometric profiles, recognize people, match identities, or recognize expressions.
Why face information is used
Face detection places cat, bunny and bear decorations, and blush, in your live preview or edited image. Before saving a face effect, the app checks the exact source image again so that decorations align with the image being saved. Other effects do not require face detection.
Photos and face detection information are not used for advertising, profiling, identity recognition or training models.
Face information: storage, retention and deletion
Face rectangles and confidence scores are used temporarily in device memory. The app does not write detection records to files, databases or logs, keep a detection history, or store a copy in the cloud or on a developer server.
The cached face rectangle is replaced by later detection results or cleared by relevant processing-state resets. The current image or frame and related image-processing buffers, including GPU buffers, may remain in memory while referenced by app objects or processing tasks. This can include paused or background use, or time after leaving the camera or editor screen. These images and buffers are released when the owning objects or tasks release their references. There is no fixed retention period or guaranteed deletion timer; leaving a screen or moving the app to the background does not guarantee an immediate memory wipe.
Detection results are not saved between app launches. When the app process terminates, any remaining runtime memory is released. There is no saved detection record for us to retrieve or delete later. Photos you explicitly save are separate and follow the Photos and iCloud rules below.
Disclosure, sharing and third-party protection
The app does not upload camera frames, imported photos, face rectangles or confidence scores to the developer or third-party services. The developer does not receive or collect this face information off your device, disclose it to others, or sell it. No advertising, analytics or other third-party SDK receives this face information. Apple Vision runs on your device; the app does not send images to Apple for face analysis.
Photos you choose to save are added to Apple Photos and may sync through iCloud according to your settings. Apple also handles App Store purchases, and your email service handles messages you choose to send. These user-directed or platform services operate under their own privacy policies; this policy does not claim that we have audited or can control Apple's or your email provider's practices.
If we introduce sharing of personal data with a third party under our control in a future version, we will first explain the recipient, data and purpose in an updated policy, obtain any consent that is required, and require that recipient to provide at least the same protection for the data as this policy requires. We will not make such sharing available until those conditions are met. This is a condition for any future developer-controlled sharing, not a claim that the current app shares face information.
Withdraw consent and stop face processing
You can withdraw your permission to use face effects at any time. Close the current face-effect camera or editor with its Close button, then choose an effect that does not detect faces, such as Pixel studio, Mirror or Filter. Stop selecting the cat, bunny, bear and blush effects, and do not import photos for those effects. These choices prevent new face-effect sessions; the app has no separate face-consent switch or delete-face-data button.
An analysis or save task already in progress may finish after you leave a screen or change effects. To end the current app process and its remaining processing session, force-quit Fun Mirror from the iOS app switcher by swiping its app preview up. When that process ends, iOS releases its runtime memory. This does not promise secure erasure of memory, delete saved images, or control the cleanup timing of system-managed temporary files. An image already handed to Photos for saving may still be saved; force-quitting does not undo that request. Simply putting the app in the background is not the same as force-quitting it.
You can also turn off Fun Mirror's Camera access in iOS Settings to stop future camera access. Camera permission does not control photo import: a photo you choose to import can still be analyzed if you open it with a face effect. To avoid that analysis, use a non-face effect and do not import photos for animal or blush effects. You can keep using the app's other effects without face detection.
Face data deletion and deletion requests
There is no stored face detection file, database or server record to delete. To end the current in-memory face processing, stop using face effects and force-quit the app as described above; detection results are not restored when the app next launches. This does not delete source photos, saved outputs or files managed by iOS. For saved images, use the Photos deletion steps in the next section. Revoking permissions does not delete images that were already saved.
If you voluntarily sent information to our support email and want it deleted, send a deletion request to iosdeveloper2025@163.com identifying the correspondence concerned. This request concerns information actually held in that correspondence, not face results on your device. We cannot remotely access or erase your device memory, Photos library, iCloud images or copies held by other recipients.
Saved photos and iCloud
An output image is added to Photos only when you choose Capture or Save. Its pixels may include your face and the applied effect. The app does not attach face rectangles, confidence scores or identity templates to that image, and does not change an imported original.
To delete a saved output, open Apple's Photos app, select that image and delete it. To remove it before the Recently Deleted retention period ends, open Recently Deleted and permanently delete it there using the controls provided by Photos. Deleting an output does not delete its imported source photo; delete that original separately if you also want to remove it. Images remain subject to Photos' deletion and recovery rules. Uninstalling Fun Mirror does not delete images in Photos.
If iCloud Photos is enabled, Apple may sync saved images and deletion changes to iCloud and your other devices. Review your iCloud Photos settings in iOS Settings and Apple's current guidance before changing synchronization; turning off syncing does not by itself delete existing cloud copies. Copies you have separately exported or shared must be managed in their destination apps, accounts or with their recipients. We have no remote copy and cannot delete images from your library, iCloud or those destinations.
Camera and Photos access
Camera access is used for live effects and taking photos. The system photo picker provides only the photo you choose, rather than access to your entire library. Photos add-only access is requested when you save an image.
You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings. If Camera access is denied, you can still select and edit a photo. If Photos add-only access is denied, the app cannot save an output image to your library.
Purchases are handled by Apple
Apple processes subscription payments and renewals. Fun Mirror uses verified StoreKit transactions on your device to check active Pro subscriptions and existing lifetime purchases, restore access, and update access when a subscription expires. We do not receive your payment card information or forward these transactions to a developer server.
Loading products, purchasing, restoring purchases and managing subscriptions may connect to Apple. These actions do not send your photos or face detection information. Apple's privacy policy applies to its services.
Your language preference
Your chosen app language is stored in the app's local settings so it can be used on future launches. This setting is not sent to a server and contains no photo or face detection result. You can change it or choose to follow the system language from the language settings on the home screen.
Contact us about privacy
For privacy questions or to request deletion of information you have voluntarily sent to us, email iosdeveloper2025@163.com. We use the message and contact details you voluntarily provide only to respond to your request. This correspondence is separate from on-device face processing. The app does not automatically attach photos or face detection information to an email.
We can address only information we actually hold. We have no server copy of your photos or face detection results to retrieve or delete; follow the on-device stopping and Photos deletion steps above for that information. You do not need to send us a face photo or an identity document to ask a privacy question.
Visiting this privacy website
This privacy website is hosted on Cloudflare. Delivering and protecting the website involves Cloudflare processing connection information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. Cloudflare handles this information under its privacy policy and service terms; its retention is separate from the app's temporary face processing. We do not set a separate retention period for Cloudflare's infrastructure records.
This page does not request camera or Photos access and does not receive images or face detection results from the app. It contains no advertising or analytics scripts, uses no cookies or browser storage to remember your language, and loads no external fonts. The selected language is represented in the page URL. App face data is not sent to Cloudflare by this page.
